Get to Know Me
What are some of your favorite things?
An afternoon spent curled up reading a book is heaven. I love slipping into a silk dress, its fabric fluttering around my legs as I head to dinner at a cosy candlelit restaurant. Delicious food together with sparkling conversation is a seductive pairing. I also enjoy the quieter moments, the intimacy of being comfortable together without the need for conversation. I delight in nature in all its forms, from roaming around central park to trekking through the Tanzanian outback. At heart though, I am a city girl and one of my greatest pleasures is sipping an exquisite cabernet in a bustling, upscale bar. You’ll find me at the quiet corner table, slightly separate from the crowd but still delighting in its pulsating energy.
If you could have a special ability, what would it be?
A photographic memory! I’m learning German so a photographic memory would be awesome to remember all those verb conjugations and the pesky grammar. It’d also be useful for conjuring up naughty images when I’m alone in bed.
What is your greatest ambition?
I would love to learn to fly a small plane for so many reasons: The unparalleled freedom that the expanse of the skies offers. Literally being able to escape from the world. Sneaking off to a remote beauty spot on a picnic for two or exploring a new city. It seems like the perfect balance of staying focused in command of the mechanics and the sheer romanticism of flying with the freedom of birds. Of course the thrill of dipping and soaring amongst the clouds would be breath-taking.
What three characteristics that you seek in a suitor?
Passion. Curiosity. Kindness.
What kind of man do you find attractive?
If a man is kind, attentive and has positive thoughts he can never be unattractive.
Will you provide a reference?
I love the reference system and am more than happy to support it whenever I can. If I’ve seen you in the last twelve months, feel free to cite me as a reference. There’s no need to check in with me first.
What’s your favorite quote?
O, wonder!
How many goodly creatures are there here!
How beauteous mankind is! O brave new world,
That has such people in’t!
Shakespeare
I love Miranda’s words in the Tempest. She is compassionate, artless and joyfully gives herself entirely to romance. At the same time she is excited when the scales fall from her eyes and she realizes there’s a whole wide world out there to explore and many wonderful people to meet. I love that she reacted with optimism and curiosity when she was exposed to wonder. Her insular world has been cracked open to reveal a feast of potential thrilling experiences and she wants to savor every delectable bite. Who can blame her!
By the way, in addition to my name I share something else with her, which you will discover when we meet!
